Chinese Medical Massage and Manipulation
Chinese Medical Massage and Manipulation or Tui Na has been practiced and evolved over 2000 years. It is performed on a couch or in a chair, through loose clothing such as cotton bottoms and T-shirt. Tui Na utilises an incredible variety of techniques, differing from Western massage in that it uses manipulation of the muscles, joints and pressure points as used in acupuncture, which speed up the healing process dramatically and can help eliminate pain.
Used today in hospitals in China, Tui Na is a great tool for diagnosing, treating and the prevention of many ailments.
With the added knowledge of the body's natural energy (Qi), which can also be manipulated by stimulating pressure points, Tui Na is like acupuncture without needles and has fast results on common complaints such as back pain, neck pain and shoulder pain.
Tui Na is a deep and powerful massage used to treat muscle pain, joint pain, sports injuries, headache, migraines and all musculo-skeletal problems such as lower back pain sciatica and neck pain. Combining Tui Na and acupuncture creates some of the most powerful medicine in the world today.
Massage
Indonesian Traditional Massage
Indonesian Traditional Massage dates back almost as far as Chinese Medicine and could be regarded as the original holistic method.
Using oils, many of the techniques are used to work across the muscles as opposed to along them (as in Swedish massage).
This creates more friction which helps circulation and also releases muscle tension and knots. This is a deep massage and is very relaxing and good for all muscle pain.

Cupping
Cupping therapy involves the placing of special cups on the skin creating a vacuum effect that increases the circulation to that area.
It is useful for dispelling pain like lower back pain and shoulder pain and is usually used in conjunction with acupuncture and massage.
Cupping is also a part of Chinese Medicine and has been used for over a thousand years.
